SF3 Soul Harvest Statue - From 3D Model to Print

I printed the statue of Niethalf, we created for SpellForce 3 - Soul Harvest in my spare time. This was my first deeper dive into 3D printing and although it was a wild ride with many ups and downs, the feeling of pride and accomplishment in the end was absolutely worth it!
Printing time was about 16h all together. Post processing maybe another two to three hours.

Here you can see the different elements the Statue is made of.
I dynameshed the in-game high poly to have a solid mesh. Then I sliced and added keys mainly using boolean operations in ZBrush.

Body and rock mesh were hollowed using the settings above. The other parts were printed solid. Hollowing and slicing was done in ChiTuBox.

Simulation of the printing process. Due to the small printing bed I had to print in four batches:
Hammer,body, legs, arms & hammer

Here all the printing supports were removed already. I used a rotary tool and sanding paper to get rid of the remaining artifacts and then filled the drain holes and gaps between the elements using putty.
